Duties and Responsibilities

1. To guide, supervise, monitor and coordinate staff and activities of the Unit
2. To operate and maintain Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure;
3. To establish and coordinate the use of electronic mail communications on networks within the Centre;
4. To advise the Director on proper management of Centre’s ICT matters; and
5. To coordinate and maintain information management systems.
6. Establishing long term needs for the information system to promote the increased proliferation and ambitious application of ICT within the Institution, and advises management on the appropriate strategies.
7. Providing technical support and guidance on all matters of procurement, utilization and maintenance of ICT hardware and software to the Institution.
8. Establishing and advising the Institution on technical installation, priorities, standards, procedures, management and telecom equipment and systems.
9. Maintaining confidentiality, security and reliability of the information system.
10.  Maintaining the Institution’s ICT infrastructure
11. Reviewing, designing, implementing and maintaining sound Local Area Network and Wide Area Network systems for the Institution.
12. Streamlining the management of the Information Sharing Network (ISN) in the Centre.
13. To performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
